ResyRoulette

For the hangry and indecisive. ResyRoulette is an extension of the popular restaurant reservation app, Resy. Two users will be able to swipe through nearby restaurants in real time. When they both hit like on the same restaurant, they are presented with the available reservations. Say goodbye to the endless scrolling and indecision – ResyRoulette simplifies the process, making planning your next night out a breeze.
The “Bumble” of restaurant matching.

The challenge with ResyRoulette lies in striking the perfect balance between seamless integration with the rest of the app and establishing a distinctive identity that sets it apart.
Since this feature involves collaboration between two users, prioritizing the user experience is crucial to ensure a clear understanding for both parties.

I prioritized essential information for quick decision-making. Featuring a full-screen restaurant image as the background, I emphasized essential details such as location, price, and keywords. The restaurant name is prominently showcased in large text, accompanied by its rating and a succinct description. To further streamline the decision process, a menu link was thoughtfully included.
The user experience mirrors that of popular dating app. Users can express interest in a restaurant by double-clicking, swipe right if they like the restaurant but prefer not to go immediately, and swipe left if the option doesn't appeal to them. Upon a successful match, the primary user can seamlessly choose a reservation time on a pop-up page that stays consistent to the rest of Resy’s user experience.
